Muster Roll of Company K, First Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteers (1855–56)

A note on this appendix: This muster roll is not part of Steve C. Plucker’s manuscript. It records Company K, First Regiment Oregon Mounted Volunteers, under Captain N. A. Cornoyer (printed here as “Connoyer”) and Colonel James W. Nesmith, mustered from October 30, 1855, to serve against the Yakima Indians. It is transcribed from a scanned printed roll, and a handful of names are spelled inconsistently within the source itself — e.g. “Vassard, Louis” in the numbered roll below versus “Vassard, Peter” in the supplementary list, and “Kittson” versus “Kitson.” Those inconsistencies are preserved as printed rather than silently reconciled. Two names in the numbered roll (21 and 30) were left blank in the source.

Muster roll of Captain N. A. Cornoyer’s company “K” of the First Regiment of Oregon Mounted Volunteers, commanded by Colonel James W.
