The SIXTH annual Saint-Jean-Baptiste day celebration was held at the Frenchtown site on June 24, 2017.
St. Jean-Baptiste Day has been observed annually since 1834 throughout Canada and parts of the U.S. to honor the birthday of Quebec’s patron saint, Jean-Baptiste, and French-Canadian culture.
This year’s celebration featured a cabin tour led by local historian Sam Pambrun, including the restored Prince’s cabin. We also had new historical signage, sing-alongs, displays by the Whitman Gem and Mineral Society, and a potato bar lunch!
